Pamper Yourself
Plan Ahead
Planning ahead is key to a successful session! Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to arrive so you don't feel rushed. There's nothing worse than starting your session feeling flustered. Aim to arrive 5-10 minutes early, giving you time to relax and settle in. This will help you start your session feeling calm, collected, and ready to shine!
Pamper Yourself
Use your boudoir session as the perfect excuse to pamper yourself! A week before your session, treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure. Consider getting a facial or a massage to make yourself feel fabulous. Take a spa day or indulge in some other form of self-care. When you feel your best, it radiates through your photos!
Get Your Beauty Sleep
Photoshop can't fix tired, so make sure to get your beauty sleep before your session! A good night's rest is essential for looking and feeling your best. Aim for at least 7-8 hours of sleep the night before to reduce under-eye circles, puffiness, and to have that refreshed, glowing skin. Well-rested eyes sparkle, and your overall energy will shine through in your photos.
Brush Your Lips
Dry lips can be a challenge to fix in post-processing, so here's a tip: brush your lips with a toothbrush to exfoliate and follow up with a good lip moisturizer. This simple step will help remove dead skin cells and keep your lips soft and smooth. It might sound odd, but your smooth, hydrated lips will thank you and look stunning in your photos!
Lather on the Lotion
This one's super important! Hydrated skin not only feels great but also photographs beautifully. Make sure to lather on the lotion daily leading up to your session to ensure your skin looks smooth and radiant. On the day before your session, apply an extra layer of your favorite moisturizer to give your skin that healthy, glowing look.
Trust Me
During our session, I might put you in some strange poses, but trust me—the results will be worth it! Every pose is designed to highlight your best features and create stunning, flattering images. Even if a pose feels awkward, it’s all part of the process to capture the best angles and expressions. Relax, have fun, and trust the process—we’re going to create something amazing together!
Don't You Dare!
Talk Smack on Yourself
Leave the negativity at the door! This is your time to shine, so no self-criticism allowed. Embrace your unique beauty—those freckles, curves, and all the little things that make you, you. Trust me, we're here to capture your best self, inside and out.
Spray Tan
Hold off on the spray tan. Natural skin tones photograph beautifully, and we can adjust lighting to enhance your natural glow. If you're unsure, let's chat about options that will make you feel confident without the risk of orange surprises!
Bring Props
Unless we're going for a themed session, leave the props at home. Jewelry and meaningful items are welcome, but let's skip the hard hats, weapons, and anything that's not part of your personal style.
Drink Red Wine
While a glass of wine can be tempting, it's best to save the celebrations for after your session. Red wine can stain teeth and alter your natural color tones. Opt for a soothing tea or deep breaths instead!

Forget to Stretch
Those poses might look effortless, but they require effort and some flexibility. Stretching beforehand ensures you're more comfortable holding the pose, enhancing your overall experience and the final results.
Change Your Hair
Stick with what you know! Now isn't the time for drastic changes. If you're due for a trim or color touch-up, do it a couple of weeks before your session to allow time for any adjustments.
Party the Night Before
Feeling nervous? Skip the late-night partying. Opt for a relaxing evening with a bubble bath or soothing music to calm those pre-session jitters. Trust me, a fresh and energized you will look stunning in your photos!

What are You Worried About?
It happens all the time...
It happens all the time, a client’s photo session is a few days away and she begins to panic. Pre-session nerves are totally normal, and I promise, you’re not alone! Almost everyone feels a bit jittery before their session, whether it’s feeling shy or second-guessing your outfits. But trust me, the moment we start, those nerves will start to fade, and you'll feel like a superstar in no time. We're in this together, and it’s going to be an incredible experience!
Stress Acne
We all get those stress pimples from time to time. It's just a part of life! But don't worry, that's where a little Photoshop magic comes in. Those pesky blemishes don’t stand a chance against my editing skills. So, let’s focus on capturing your beautiful self, and leave the blemish worries to me!
I'm Not Photogenic
Let’s turn that around right now! Everyone has their own unique beauty, and it’s my mission to bring that out in your photos. With the right lighting, angles, and a bit of encouragement, you’ll see yourself in a whole new, stunning light. Trust me, you’re going to look fabulous!
My Period
Periods can be a real pain, literally. But they shouldn't stop you from having an amazing session! We can definitely work around it. Just let me know, and I’ll make sure you’re comfortable and feeling your best, no matter what.
Body Issues
We all have things we’re self-conscious about, and that’s completely okay. My goal is to highlight your best features and make you feel confident and beautiful. Remember, you are amazing just as you are, and I’m here to show you that through my lens. Let’s celebrate your unique beauty together!
Pose Anxiety
Are you worried about posing? Don’t be! You don’t need to know a single thing about posing. That’s my job! I’ll guide you through every step, showing you exactly how to move and pose. All you need to do is relax and enjoy the experience. You’ll be amazed at how natural and beautiful you’ll look!
So, one more time...
Let me say this loud and clear:
You are incredible, and this session is all about celebrating YOU! Whether it’s your first boudoir session or your tenth, I promise it will be a fun, empowering, and unforgettable experience. Let’s do this and create some magic together!
